The internationally recognised ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) certification attests to your comprehensive knowledge in the field of software testing and your skills as a test analyst.

Audience

The Advanced Level Test Analyst certification is aimed at people who wish to further develop their expertise in test analysis and test design techniques.

The test analyst focuses more on the business needs of the customer than on technical aspects of testing

The test analyst performs mainly functional testing but also contributes to user-focused, non-functional testing, such as usability, adaptability, installability, or interoperability testing

The test analyst uses black-box test techniques and experience-based testing rather than white-box test techniques

The test analyst improves the effectiveness of testing using defect prevention techniques

The ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Analyst certificate is valid for life and does not require renewal.

The Advanced Level Test Analyst exam comprises 45 multiple choice questions, with a pass mark grade of 65% to be completed within 120 minutes.

Participants that take the exam not in their spoken language, will receive additional 25% more time (an additional 30 minutes), for a total of 150 minutes.

Prerequisites

To be able to recieve the certification after a successful exam, ISTQB® mandates that you are a holder of the ISTQB® Foundation certificate and have 18 months of experience

The training can be followed without prerequisites. However, we believe a few years experience in testing is necessary to understand all concepts in the training.
